"I took great pleasure in reading the memoirs, listening to the ESSACA undergraduate students present their first approach and somewhere taking critical and ethical positions to continue on to a master's degree. I found that the subjects were very diverse and that we are more and more in the essential primary basis of the architect's vocation which is to work for societal issues, whether at the level of health, of the question of migration, of the symbolism in relation to the history of the territory of Douala. There are subjects which are very locally anchored based on their problem, but also locally anchored in relation to the resources which are mobilized, both land materials, but also with the wealth of Cameroon, wood, agricultural products, different techniques and know-how which is reactivated for contemporary projects. "
